Peter Bock , Senior Corrosion Control Specialist for Chicago Corrosion Group is a petrochemical coatings and CUI mitigation specialist based in Houston, TX.  He is a US Air force veteran and holds degrees from  Tulane University and the University of Northern Colorado.  Bock has 39 years of management, technical service, inspection, specification and sales experience in oilfield, petrochemical and industrial heavy-duty coatings in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, Indonesia and Taiwan.

Bock has experience with on- and off-shore production, drilling and workover rigs, shipyard work, natural gas and LNG, pipelines, terminals, refineries, chemical plants and related industrial facilities.  He is a recognized expert (SME) on carbon steel passivation and mitigation of corrosion under insulation, and teaches courses on corrosion under insulation.

Bock is currently chairman of the NACE Central Area Board of Trustees, trustee and past president of NACE New Orleans Section and past president of the Houston Coating Society.  He is a NACE certified coating inspector (CIP Level 3), a JPCL Contributing Editor, has been published in a variety of industry journals and has presented papers and symposia at SSPC, PACE, NACE and NAI conferences as well as at many regional and local coatings and corrosion control events.
